Every time we go for a check-up, cholesterol level should be our prior concern.
Lifestyle and unbalanced alimentation raises cholesterol levels, this ulterior damaging our organism without noticing it.
Neither too low, nor too high values are not correct. It is necessary, but in a moderate quantity. Aliments which raise levels of cholesterol are the following: liver, eggs, mayonnaise, butter, cheese, cold cuts. Those low or null in cholesterol are: salads, fish, fruits, vegetables, non-fat dairy products.
Some targeted exercise every day makes wonders in any kind of medical problem, so do all you can to avoid sedentary lifestyle. Go to the gym, jogging, walk in the park.
Values of cholesterol:
- lower than 200 mg/dl is convenient (around 180 is near the ideal)
- between 200-240 mg/dl indicates that the person should pay attention
over 240 mg/dl is already a high risk
The quantity of cholesterol differs individually and depends on what we eat, medication, lifestyle and other diseases.
Diets which reduce levels of cholesterol and help a person to achieve
weight loss are usually recommended. Also drinking 2 liters of water and a grapefruit/day is also advisable. If you’re coffee addicted, try the decaf version. About 20 minutes before each meal swallow a spoon of mustard-seed. It helps lower
cholesterol.
Don’t forget about exercising daily.
